Our Story

From a chance meeting to long distance and big life changes, we found love and built our future together in Chicago.

Conrad Gjovik

Timing worked in our favor—Conrad’s work trip steered us toward each other. Originally from northern Minnesota and now living in Grand Forks, North Dakota, I embraced our journey even more deeply. After a year of long distance, Conrad was ready to make a big life change to honor our commitment. Navigating these changes through COVID, we’ve continued to find new ways to love, grow, and build a future together.

As I entered my 40’s, I knew it was time to find someone truly special. Growing up in Chicago, I was ready for a new chapter, and fate brought me just that. I met Conrad during his work trip to Chicago—a moment that changed everything. Even as we navigated the challenges of long-distance dating, I felt a deep connection that told me I had found someone extraordinary. Today, we’re building a vibrant new life together right here in Chicago.

I’m beautiful in my way ’cause God makes no mistakes. I’m on the right track baby, I was born this way.
